Mind Your MemoryTM

In 2015, Dale Bredesen, M.D. published the first scientific paper documenting the reversal of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer’s disease. Nine out of ten patients with MCI and one out of two patients with Alzheimer’s returned to normal function. Since then, additional studies have shown that the Bredesen Protocol can also be preventative and help maintain normal cognitive function, even for patients who are genetically predisposed to developing Alzheimer’s.

Serenity Health Care Center is proud to announce that Erica Linn, DNP has recently become a certified practitioner in the Bredesen Protocol! Dr. Linn completed the certification program at the Institute for Functional Medicine and received her Reversing Cognitive Decline Advanced Clinical Training Certificate on July 8th. She is only the 6th doctor in the state of Wisconsin to achieve this honor. We are very proud of Dr. Linn and admire her commitment to continually advance her medical knowledge and skills though education.

In addition to Dr. Linn’s certification in the Bredesen Protocol, Serenity Health Care Center has added a cognitive screening test from Mind Your MemoryTM to the list of preventative tools we recommend to monitor and measure your health. It is a simple, computer-based test that can be completed in about 30 minutes. No computer skills are required— the computer talks to you, and you touch the screen to indicate your response. Anyone who can use an ATM at a bank can take the test. The test allows us to objectively monitor your cognitive function over time and identify a pattern of either stable or declining cognitive function.

While it is normal to experience some cognitive decline as we age, one in five Baby Boomers are declining more rapidly than they should and need to start the Bredesen Protocol as soon as possible. If we do not monitor and manage our cognitive health, one in three people alive today will die from Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia according to the Alzheimer’s Association. These facts reinforce the urgent need for patients over the age of 45 to be screened for cognitive decline. Early detection will allow Dr. Linn to arrest and reverse the cognitive decline, preserving your precious memories for the rest of your life. Call Serenity Health Care Center today to schedule your test or book an appointment online at https://mindyourmemory.com.
