hCG Weight Loss. Debra Muth ND (founder of Serenity Health Care Center) was one of the first practitioners in Wisconsin to offer this quick weight loss program where people commonly experience a half-pound up to a pound of weight loss per day. This includes follow-ups with our advanced practice nurse practitioner or nurse for medical monitoring, medication and dietary counseling.
The hCG diet and weight loss program aims to support a healthier lifestyle through careful consideration and use of less fatty foods and products. The objective in most cases is to help patients return to a safer weight and focus on the internal changes that will promote healthier living for years to come.
hCG or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is a hormone that the body naturally produces. This weight loss program involves low dose hCG injections along with a very low caloric diet (500 calories/day) to not only achieve weight loss but mobilize a type of stored fat that’s normally not accessible by other means of weight loss. hCG is administered by injection to allow the hypothalamus to function at a higher capacity and access abnormal fat that cannot be reached with dieting alone.
This glycoprotein (hCG) allows you to burn between 2500-4000 calories per day and intake 500-800 calories, while not experiencing extreme hunger, loss of energy or a need for exercise. Essentially your body will eat its own fat keeping you from experiencing hunger.
Once on the hCG diet, the hypothalamus, a master gland located in the brain, is understood to re-set causing body metabolism to now support the new body weight. This resetting enables a person to eat a normal healthy well-balanced diet, not re-gain any pounds while enjoying weight loss. Transformations is our newest program supporting weight loss. This plan began as a program for diabetic patients. When it worked so well for these patients, it transitioned into a plan to help anyone get healthy. Transformations focus is on a clean diet that helps stabilize blood sugar and reduce cholesterol levels.
Replacing an unhealthy diet of highly processed foods with a real, whole, minimally processed diet will trigger your hormones to adjust from fat-storage mode into fat-burning mode, increasing your metabolism facilitating weight loss.
When you first sign-up for a program, Serenity staff would give you a medical evaluation which includes a comprehensive lab screening, cholesterol screening and blood pressure readings. After reviewing the data from your evaluation, together we’ll design a clean diet weight loss program just for you.
Clean eating is a surprisingly simple dietary concept that focuses on eating whole foods that have been minimally altered from their original state. Lean proteins combined with healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates provide a diet high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that naturally helps promote health, fitness, and weight loss.
Clean eating is about stripping away the additives, chemicals, fillers, preservatives and junk that confuse our digestive system and can limit our body’s ability to thrive.
When you fill your body with food that it understands how to process, it has less trouble fighting the digestion of that food. It also has more time to burn fat and rid itself of toxins and build muscle, in the absence of the constant barrage of chemicals and fillers it constantly had to deal with on a traditional modern diet. And since you’ll be eating several small meals a day, feeling full isn’t a problem. In fact, if you have any history of dieting, you may find that you have never been more satisfied with the generous amount of food you can eat without feeling guilty while enjoying weight loss.
Yes. It's a balanced diet that focuses on whole grains, fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, and protein. It also encourages you to control portion sizes. And it doesn't ban any food groups. Diet plans range from 1200-1800 calories, which is the low end of calories to sustain energy, satisfy hunger, and support weight loss.
While weight loss isn't the goal of everyone practicing a clean diet, for some it’s paramount. Whether you’re looking to achieve your best possible health or lose weight as part of your journey to improved health, our Tranformations Progam is a perfect fit.
Be mindful clean eating is not just another diet fad or a one-size-fits-all meal plan. It’s a philosophy that works for everyone because it can be customized to suit your needs and goals.

This plan is customized to suit your genetic blueprint. Apolipoprotein E, or ApoE, is a gene that determines how your body metabolizes cholesterol and other foods. ApoE determines whether a person has a risk of developing obesity, diabetes or other conditions. Every patient’s ApoE genetic profile tells our staff the best way to approach weight loss.
The Apo E gene is the leading factor affecting how your body uses proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. It’s important to eat the proper balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats for your specific Apo E genotype as it influences your chances of developing certain diseases, as well as their severity.
The Apo E Gene Diet is not a diet in the classic use of the word. In this case it’s meant to speak to a series of specific individualized nutritional recommendations based on your gene type. The goal of the Apo E Gene Diet is to reduce the chances of disease and promote a healthier life. The Apo E gene has been connected to Heart Disease, High Cholesterol, Alzheimer's, Strokes, Diabetes, Obesity and more.
Because each Apo E genotype processes foods differently there is a unique optimal balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats in the ideal diet for each person’s journey to weight loss. Our job is to work with you and derive the optimal balance for you and the foundation for your good health. The optimal plan for your Apo E genotype provides guidance for:
In sum, the Apo E Gene Diet taps into on an individual's genetic recipe, creating dietary and exercise recommendations. In addition, the Apo E Gene Diet incorporates the whole person (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) in creating a gene-supportive environment that promotes a healthy life, free of chronic illness. The Keto Diet is a high-fat low-carb weight loss program. Roughly speaking, when you go keto, about 60% of your calories come from fat, 30% from protein, and 10% or less from carbs. Admittedly, however, the toggle of calories that come from fat is variable and should be determined by your goals, so these percentages are completely related to the total calorie intake that you need for that purpose and optimal weight loss. They are not fixed.
Strict adherence to a rough guideline with macros percentages or ratios is a great way to botch a ketogenic diet the way most people need it: For improved body composition and health. The ratio approach is used most effectively for a medically supervised Keto Diet, which is what we provide. Modified versions of the Keto Diet can be higher protein and carb, and tend to be both easier to do and perhaps more nutrient dense. Keeping macronutrients at a range (both in composition and amount) where insulin and blood glucose are well-managed signals your body to utilize more fat and make ketones in the pursuit of weight loss. Here’s how that works:
Simply put, a ketogenic diet allows your body to increase its reliance on fat (and the ketones produced from fat) for energy and to reduce its dependence on glucose. This is similar to the functioning of fasting, which is why the Keto Diet is sometimes referred to as “fasting mimicking diet” to achieve weight loss.
A keto diet focused on nutrient density is similar to the Paleo Diet without the healthy carbohydrates. You can consume fats, nuts, meat, leafy greens, small portions of berries, and dairy if tolerated while high-carb foods like grains and rice are avoided.
Although a spectrum of efficacy exists for the appetite modifying effects of various diet approaches, low-carb diets trigger unique hormonal changes that significantly limit overeating (at least in some people). Plus, ketones themselves have some unique therapeutic benefits. Keto isn’t a magic weight loss diet and other approaches, including Paleo, work too, but the Keto Diet has some mechanisms that make it uniquely suited for weight loss. First, insulin. Insulin is a signaling hormone responsible for a number of functions in the human body - among them the retention by tissues of stored energy (fats and carbohydrates, predominantly) and to indicate a need for the storage of energy in circulation. Keto because of the composition of the calories, keeps a fairly heavy boot on circulating insulin levels. Then there are the hunger hormones. A keto diet, it’s been shown, lowers ghrelin and neuropeptide Y—both appetite stimulators. Less hunger means less overeating and more possibility of enjoying weight loss.
